Books: A Year in Provence

I received A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle as a gift. The book follows Mayle and his wife’s first year in Provence, to which they had moved from England. It’s a nice, light read. It’s easy to pick up and put down, but I do suggest reading it continuously. I’d recommend this to anyone interested in French culture, particularly since in some places it emphasizes the difference between Parisian and Provençal culture. It’s a bit dated now, but still an enjoyable read.
