More Books
Well, it wasn’t my intention to turn this into a reading blog… and perhaps it won’t stay that way. However, I have been doing a lot of reading lately. Since my last post, I’ve read:
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe – Douglas Adams
Like the prequel, this was somewhat amusing, but eventually I found it wearying. I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t read it directly after reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
The Sacred Depths of Nature – Ursula Goodenough
Very simply and cleanly written, which I think is appropriate for the subject matter. This is a book that I think I need to mull over for some time before I’ll really know what I think of it.
Cats for Dummies – Gina Spadafori and Paul D. Pion
Like most of the Dummies books, this is a pretty good basic source of information. It’s probably not useful if you need more in depth knowledge, however.
Outwitting Cats – Wendy Christensen
Reading this with Cats for Dummies is enough to convince you that all cats are completely neurotic. Still, this book seems like a good one to read through, if only so that you know where to look if you do encounter a neurotic cat.
